There are several outlet complexes in Italy; amongst the most popular is Seravalle Outlet and Fox Town in Switzerland, about 45 minutes from Milan City Centre.
Serravalle Scrivia is in Province of Alexandria, about 1 and half hour drive from Milan. This is the largest and the first designer Outlet in Italy and also in Europe. It is 35,000 sqm with 180 shops and ample space for parking, estimated 3,000 parking spaces. The operation was officially starts in September 2000.

AL FATIHAH BUAT PUTERIKU-NUR FAQIHAH NAZEERAH

Hari ini, September 16, 2006 genap 3 tahun kepulangan ke rahmatullah puteri kesayangan kami, Nur Faqihah Nazeerah.
January 08, 1995 - September 16, 2003
Pada pagi hari Selasa, tanggal 16 september 2003, Arwah Kak Ira pergi buat selama-lamanya meninggalkan kami, Abah dan Ummy, Abang Yiem, Adik Far dan Adik Atin. tepat jam 1030 hrs waktu sini beliau menghembuskan nafas terakhirnya dihadapan Abah dan Ummy di Instituto Nationale Tumori, Milan, Italy.
Pemergian Arwah Kakak Ira dalam keadaan mengejut amat memeranjatkan kami. Baru seminggu Arwah dan Ummy serta adik beradik pulang ke Italy setelah bercuti di Malaysia sejak cuti persekolahan Summer 2003.
Seolah-olah Arwah kembali ke Italy hanya semata-mata bertemu dengan Abahnya yang tidak ikut sama pulang ke Malaysia kerana urusan kerja. Seminggu bermesra dengan Abah dan kami semua hinggalah pada malam September 15, 2003 kakak merungut mengatakan Arwah sakit kepala yang teramat.
Satu malam Abah dan Ummy tidak tidor kerana kami bergilir2 memicit kepala Kakak sehingga terlena dalam jam 5 pagi. Esoknya jam 0730 pagi kami memutuskan membawa Kakak ke Hospital dan tiba disana jam 0800 hrs.
Abah mengambil masa sejam mencari parking kereta sebelum naik semula berjumpa Kakak jam 1000 hrs kakak sempat peluk abah dan umi buat kali terakhir dan setengah jam kemudian Kakak terus memejamkan mata buat selama-lamanya dihadapan Abah dan Ummy.
Banyak peristiwa mengenai kebesaran ILLAHI tunjukkanNya sehari sebelum Arwah meninggalkan kami dan sepanjang urusan membawa pulang jenazah Arwah ke Kuala Lumpur sehingga kepada urusan pengebumiannya.
Sebelum pemergiannya tidak tahu kenapa Arwah terlalu suka mendengar lagu ini dan menyuruh kami mengamatinya...
Dan setelah segala urusan selesai, apabila dibongkar almari Arwah di rumah kami di Kuala Lumpur, kami terjumpa nota yang ditulis utk Abah dan Ummy yang disorok dalam almarinya sehari sebelum berlepas ke Italy.
Nota yang melahirkan rasa terima kasih beliau kepada kami kerna Ummy melahirkannya dan abah dan ummy yang membesarkannya. Dalam Usia 8 tahun , Arwah sudah tahu menilai dan mengucapkan terima kasih diatas pengorbanan kami...
" TERIMA KASIH UMMY,ABAH KERANA MEMBESARKAN KAKAK..."
inilah kata-kata didalam nota yang ditulis beliau.

VENICE - such a romatic place...

I guest I don’t have to explain more about Venice.
Venice, 3 to 4 hours driving from Milan, depending on your way of driving, and you can also just take a train to Venice. It is more convenient as you don’t have to search for the parking, be prepared for sum of Euro 30.00 for 1 day (24 hrs). This was in 2004.
Now, train is our 1st choice, within 3 hrs you are already there. Less hassle, less headache and relaxing. As soon as you get off the train the ferry or rather they called it water taxi, just in front of the train station. It is so convenient.
San Marco is the most popular spot in Venice. Besides the fantastic sceneries and views other things that menggoda is the shopping.
Letih dan penat mata melihat pelbagai barangan yang memang kalau tak berfikir panjang macam nak beli semua.Yang jadi halangan ialah WANG. Walaupun sesetengah barang tu mahal tetapi ada kalanya mmeang masih untung kalu kita beli antaranya mmg tak terdapat ditempat lain dan masih lagi mahal berbanding tempat lain.

ITALIAN DECOR

Cuti sekolah dah nak berakhir dan penggal baru bermula Sept. Sejak awal cuti sekolah June hingga Aug kami penuhi masa ni dengan membawa ank-anak berjalan-jalan. Cuma masa di Sicily kami berkesempatan membuka internet sebab banyak masa berehat di hotel memandangkan cuaca panas.Sekarang cuaca masih panas tetapi tidak sepanas summer tahun-tahun sebelumnya, especially summer 2003.
Entry kali ni kita santai-santai sikit sebab dah penat dengan sceneries, kita tengok serba sedikit craft dan decor yang menarik disini .

MOUNT ETNA SICILY-The active Volcano

Remarks:
I was not involved in this trip as it too hot that time and with small kids make me uncomfortable to joint my husband up to the top of Etna. All pictures taken by my husband.
Mount Etna is an active Volcanao and situated in the east Coast of sicily, close to Messina and catania. Etna is an isolated peak about 29 km (18 miles) from Catania which dominates the eastern side of Sicily. It takes 2 hours by road to Mount Etna Cabel Station.,From here you have to take cable Car to the top before proceeding with the 4x4 bus bringing you up to the top of the Mount. It is the largest active volcano in Europe at 3,350 m.Etna covers an area of 1190 km.
Disepanjang perjalanan kita dapat saksikan perbezaan bentuk muka bumi dimana kawasan yang pernah terkena muntahan lava gunung berapi ini begitu subur dengan tumbuhan yang menghijau. Letupan yang terakhir berlaku ialah pada awal July 2006, seminggu selepas gambar ini diambil. Lawatan ke Mount Etna ini adalah ehsan suami yang ke sana pada June 26, 2006.
2minggu sebelum salji masih turun di puncak Mount Etna.
Dua gambar dibawah adalah merupakan hostel bagi paderi-paderi.menurut cerita masa berlaku letupan yang terahir paling kuat sekitra hujung 90 an, para paderi ini berdoa supay lava gunung berapi ini tidak memusnahkan hostel mereka dan doa mereka diberitakan dikalbukan.

Volcanic activity at Etna began about half a million years ago, with eruptions occurring beneath the sea off the then coastline of Sicily. 300,000 years ago, volcanism began occurring to the southwest of the present-day summit, before activity moved towards the present centre 170,000 years ago. Eruptions at this time built up the first major volcanic edifice, forming a stratovolcano in alternating explosive and effusive eruptions. The growth of the mountain was occasionally interrupted by major eruptions leading to the collapse of the summit to form calderas.
From about 35,000 to 15,000 years ago, Etna experienced some highly explosive eruptions, generating large pyroclastic flows which left extensive ignimbrite deposits. Ash from these eruptions has been found as far away as Rome, 800 km to the north.

Historical eruptions
About 3,500 years ago, the eastern flank of the mountain experienced a catastrophic collapse, generating an enormous landslide in an event similar to that seen at Mount St. Helens in 1980. The eruption which is thought to have caused this collapse was recorded by Diodore of Sicily, the first known record of an eruption at Etna. The landslide left a large depression in the side of the volcano, known as 'Valle del Bove' (Valley of the Oxen). The steep walls of the Valle have suffered subsequent collapse on numerous occasions. The strata exposed in the valley walls provide an important and easily accessible record of Etna's eruptive history.
The most recent collapse event at the summit of Etna is thought to have occurred about 2,000 years ago, forming what is known as the Piano Caldera. This caldera has been almost entirely filled by subsequent lava eruptions, but is still visible as a distinct break in the slope of the mountain near the base of the present-day summit cone.
The Roman poet Virgil gave what was probably a first-hand description of an eruption in the Aeneid:

Catania is in the Southern part of Italy.Catania has been the second most important city of Sicily, supplanting Messina in that respect. Subjected to Etna's fickle temperament, Catania has been damaged by lava flows and earthquakes on several occasions.Lastest Volcano was in early July 2006. A particularly destructive volcanic eruption in 1669 was followed by a serious earthquake in 1693.
Catania is the second largest city of Sicily and is the capital of the province which bears its name. With some 306,000 inhabitants (750,000 in the metropolitan area) it has the second highest population density on the island. The city's patron saint is Saint Agata.
Founded by the Siculi and colonized by Chalcidians (a Greek people) from Naxos in 729 BC, Catania was conquered by the Romans in AD 263, eventually becoming the most prosperous city in Roman Sicily. However, archeological evidence indicates man's presence in the area during the early Bronze Age (2200-1400 BC). By the Middle Ages, it was still an important port, though less prominent than Messina. It flourished until 1169, when it was almost completely destroyed by a particularly violent earthquake. Following this catastrophe, Catania was gradually rebuil.

Paris is the capital city and the largest city in France. Paris is famed throughout the world for it culture,arts, beauty,monuments, fashion and its gastronomy. Paris will not be Paris without its Eiffel Tower, to me it is just a skeleton tower ..rangka-rangka besi sahaja, but it is unique.
Besides Eifel Tower, you also can find the Statue of Joan of Arc, Opera House and many other intersting and historical monuments i.e buildings,churches, palaces, arches,bridges etc.
It is also once considered as the most glamorous city in Europe. And not to forget the almost spiritual glasswork of the Louvre pyramid, the icon that was featured in DA VINCI CODE movie.
